WIDOW CLICQUOT

Since its founding in 1772, the Maison Veuve Clicquot
Ponsardin remains faithful to his motto: "Only one quality, the
very first”. Its history bears the mark of a
bold, creative and entrepreneurial woman:
Madame Clicquot, the Grande Dame of Champagne.
Uncompromising on quality, it sets out to conquer the
world, and transmits to his successors the taste for excellence
and innovation.

Madame Clicquot was an avant-garde woman. At the death
from her husband in 1805, she took over the reins of the House at
only 27 years old, at a time when women did not have
their place in the business world. A demanding creator,
tirelessly searching for "one quality, the whole
first", his tenacity and instinct led him to
to free oneself from one's preordained destiny.
